Hi, I’m Kathy! I was blessed to join the Hillcrest Family on March 21, 2017 as the Administrative Assistant. That means, if you call Hillcrest, I’m the sunny voice on the other end of the line!
I have four children and a grandson who are the highlight of my life. Ryan, Daniel, Allison, Emma and William. I have believed in God my whole life but it was just 7 years ago that I began a real relationship with Jesus. I gave my life completely over to Him, and I have never been the same!
I love to spend time with my family, crocheting and watching reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond.
Hey there! I’m Jonathan, but feel free to call me Jon. I’m thrilled to be part of Hillcrest Church and to serve our incredible, diverse younger generations! My passion is creating a space where kids and teens can explore their faith and experience Jesus’ love in a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. I know not every church prioritizes this, so I don’t take it for granted.

I grew up in the Chicagoland area, studied at Bible School in the Pacific Northwest, and eventually found my way to Canada—where I’ve fallen in love with Atlantic Canada.

Academically, I’ve completed a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies, a Master of Divinity, a second Master’s in Theology at Acadia Divinity College, and a Post-Graduate research certificate. Right now, I’m working on my Ph.D. in baptist digital ecclesiology.

Beyond church life, I’m a huge Chicago sports fan—especially Football. I also enjoy the outdoors; mountains, oceans, hikes, camping, exploring new places.

As someone with a multi-ethnic background, I proudly embrace the term “foodie.” I love trying different cuisines, especially Indian, Latin, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Filipino, Taiwanese, Korean, and Singaporean. I also enjoy cooking!
